Aretha Franklin - Lady Soul - 1968




Lady Soul é o álbum de Aretha Franklin, lançado em 1968. O álbum  incluiu alguns dos seus maiores hits, "Chain of Fools" (# Pop 2), e (You Make Me Feel Like) A Woman Natural (# Pop 8), e "(Sweet Baby Sweet) . Ele vendeu mais de um milhão de cópias nos Estados Unidos. O álbum foi relançado em uma edição de luxo em 1995.
Lady Soul  alcançou as posiçoes # 1, # 2 e # 3 na Billboard's Black Albums, Pop Albums, and Jazz Albums charts, respectivamente. The singles "Ain't No Way" (B-Side of "Since You've Been Gone (Sweet, Sweet, Baby)")  alcançou a posição # 9 on the Black Singles chart, e # 16 on the Pop Singles chart..
Em 2003, a rede de TV VH1 nomeou Lady Soul na posiçao 41 nos melhores álbuns de todos os tempos. É o número 84 em revista Rolling Stone na lista "As 500 Maiores Álbuns de Todos os Tempos".
